Bharti Airtel to join hands with Qualcomm Technologies for 5G rollout

This announcement comes after Bharti Airtel demonstrated & orchestrated a live 5G service over a commercial network in the city of Hyderabad in January to showcase the company's 5G preparedness.

India's second largest telecom service provider Bharti Airtel said that it will collaborate with USA's Qualcomm Technologies to provide 5G technology in India. Airtel said that it will utilize the Qualcomm 5G RAN Platforms to roll-out virtualized and Open RAN-based 5G networks through its network vendors and device partners.
