A lifeline to gazans. It is not known whether foreign Passport Holders and dual nationals will be allowed to leave. The Palestinian Health ministry now says 4385 gardens have been killed in the last two weeks, including 1756 children. These latest pictures show the first trucks entering, loaded with food, water and medicine, which are desperately needed by civilians inside gaza. Its not clear how long it will remain open. Israel has agreed to let just 20 trucks through. The un says at least 100 aid trucks are needed a day. Israel sealed its borders with gaza imposing a total siege on the strip 12 days ago. The Rafah Crossing between egypt and gaza is now the only way to allow vital supplies in. 0ur reporter Rushdi Abualouf has the latest from the Rafah Crossing. 20 trucks are carrying food, medicine, and we understand Operation Room for the Nasser Hospital in khan yunis. This convoy is the first 20 trucks that crossed from a coming from the egyptian side to the palestinian side today. This is a window of hope for 2. 3 Million People who are stuck without food, medicine or essential water. All of the essential needs, stuck in gaza. Today, there is a little bit of hope that this corridor is open and functioning. Once the mechanism of distributing this food is in place, more trucks will come from this direction. From the egyptian side, we understand that 4,000 trucks full of food, medicine and some say a field hospital, are on the other side of the border. Israel wants to make sure that hamas is not involved in this. The bbc was told by a Senior Hamas Official today that hamas is aware of those trucks and they are happy with the mechanism that egypt is putting in place. And they will not involve in distributing or deciding who will get this aid, as long as they are going to the people who need. The palestinians side of the crossing is open and hamas is welcoming any aid in. So today is significant. Since two weeks, gaza was without food and medicine. Today is significant, we have seen a window of hope, a window of food and medicine for gaza. This is a drop in the ocean, but more to come if the mechanism in place, everybody is happy with. Gaza has been under extensive israeli bombardment after hamas which is listed as a Terrorist Organisation by the uk government and others carried out its attack inside israel two weeks ago. 1,400 israelis were killed. Israel has said it will maintain its siege until they are released. Last nights release may bring hope for families, a small light in the darkness of war. Live now tojerusalem to speak to our middle east correspondent tom bateman. The news of the Rafah Crossing opening does give people in gaza a glimmer of hope but aid agencies say it simply wont be enough in the longer term. It simply wont be enough in the longerterm. Is it simply wont be enough in the longer term. Is there any indication that there could be more trucks allowed through . That there could be more trucks allowed through . What this does mean, as allowed through . What this does mean. As you allowed through . What this does mean, as you suggest, allowed through . What this does mean, as you suggest, is allowed through . What this does mean, as you suggest, is a mean, as you suggest, is a breakthrough, however small because those trucks have been waiting for ten days. There are thousands of them backed up on the egyptian side of the crossing so the fact that this has opened its very significant and the bbc this morning counted at least 20 trucks going through, carrying food, water and medical supplies. That includes, for example, trauma kits, bandages with people with blast and shrapnel injuries. Also medicines for people with chronic diseases because hospitals are at an absolute point of collapse in gaza. They havent had powerfor many of collapse in gaza. They havent had power for many days now so that stuff is desperately needed. But its not going to go very far, as you are suggesting. But then takes onto The Big Question about, is the crossing going to stay after this . Well more of those trucks be allowed in . My sense is that this is very much about testing well this works. The critical demands from the israelis saying they dont want any of the supplies exploited or stolen by hamas. Youve got a deep crisis of governance inside gaza already. Hamas was the governing authority in the strip. That was effectively tolerated by the israelis before these hostilities broke out but now, israel are saying that its over. Hamas will have to be crushed. That vacuum of power that may well emerge over the coming weeks and months is now being tested in a sort of concentrated form. Can they get is applies to people uninterrupted . Well enough trust be built for more to go in . I think we will have to wait and see what happens with this, how it is distributed and remember, people are desperate, so after the supplies go to a Distribution Point and then spread out across neighbourhoods, potentially to the Un Shelter Facilities where people are, what kind of scenes is that going to bring . We have ready heard the un talk about tensions and frustration among those people crammed into those facilities at the moment so it is extremely challenging circumstances. I think this is a test and we will see in the coming hours and days, whether or not they can get together, the un, the egyptians and the israelis, tear get more aid in. Tear get more aid in. More things continue to tear get more aid in. More things continue to happen, tear get more aid in. More things continue to happen, including continue to happen, including exchange of fire. We are hearing from their policy and Health Authorities in gaza that more than 3000 4300 authorities in gaza that more than 3000 4300 people have been killed. We now know that more than 200 hostages are still being held by hamas. What more are we hearing about the mass of israeli troops at the border and a possible incursion . We know that a very large number of troops and Military Hardware is there. They were saying as long ago as five to six days that they were effectively ready, the israeli military. I think what we then saw this week was a kind of step back from that posture because we had vip visits to jerusalem from that posture because we had vip visits tojerusalem including the us president joe biden, the tale of eve tel aviv. 0ther president joe biden, the tale of eve tel aviv. Other leaders coming here as well. The focus became around the International Diplomacy and what was significant there was that anthony blink in, the us secretary of state had visited around eight arab capitals in three days. We then saw this very tense focus about trying to get relief into gaza. The americans with a pretty blunt message to the israelis that although, 100 backing from washington to israel, they still expected a Military Campaign to be conducted injoe bidens words, within the laws of war. He said, dont be consumed by rage, dont make the mistakes we made after 9 11, referring to the american response to 9 11. That was a very significant message, to stand next to Benjamin Netanyahu and say that. We know the troops are poised and ready to go in but we also have the factor of the hostages as you have referred to. More than 200, including elderly and children being held by hamas. The pressure within israel is immense. Many have been extremely angry about the way that the Israeli Cabinet has handled this. Notjust The Original Security Failure but also about the lack of information they felt. There is a lot in the mix and wants a Military Campaign starts, you cant pull it back so i think a lot of this diplomacy, a lot of internal politics in israel play into this at the same time, people are trying to stop the crisis engulfing the rest of the region. That is why we are seeing this Summit Of European and arab leaders today in cairo and the moment the troops going, we will see the entire situation reached a new level potentially of crisis point. Thank you very much for the moment. Lets take your life to Central London. Thousands of processes have been gathering. They have been gathering in the centre of the city as part of a pro palestinian march. You can see flags being waved. We are hearing that the platform at Marble Arch Tube Station in Central London was briefly closed due to the crowd who has been gathering there. As you can see, its a peaceful protest and there are thousands of people who had gathered in Central London for that march and protest in solidarity with the palestinian cause. We will bring you more on that as and when we get it. The leaders of egypt, jordan and the Palestinian Authority have condemned israel for what they called the collective punishment of civilians in gaza. Theyve been speaking at a peace summit in cairo. In the last hour the uks Foreign Secretary James Cleverly condemed the actions of hamas, but said hes spoken to the Israeli Government about its duty to act in accordance with International Law. Iam sure i am sure we all shared the revulsion that hamas murderous acts of terrorism, the targeting of the civilians, the merging of children, the desecration of dead bodies. I am sure we are all distressed by the plight of Palestinian Civilians in gaza. Whose lives have been made harder, more painfuland more dangerous because of the brutal attacks by hamas on the 7th of october. We all mourn the dead, both 0ctober. We all mourn the dead, both israeli and palestinian. Weve also heard from Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas hes head of the Palestinian Authority, which has control over areas of the occupied west bank, but not the hamas run gaza strip. He used his opening remarks to say that palestinians will not be forced off their land. Translation we warn against any i attempts to displace our people i in gaza beyond its borders. We also warn against any evictions of palestinians from their homes, or displacement from jerusalem or the west bank. We will not accept displacement. We will remain steadfast on our land, no matter the challenges. The un secretary general Antonio Guterres described the scene at Rafah Crossing as a Human Catastrophie after his visit on friday. A 20 truck convoy of the egyptian red crescent is moving today. And i want to express my deep gratitude to egypt for the essential role egypt is playing in this regard. But the people of gaza need the commitment for much, much more. A Continuous Delivery of aid to gaza at the scale that is needed. And we are working non stop with all parties that are relevant to make it happen. Excellencies, let us be clear. The grievances of the Palestinian People are legitimate and long. We cannot and must not ignore the wider context for these tragic events. The long standing conflict and 56 years of occupation with no end in sight. But nothing can justify the reprehensible assault by hamas that authorised the terrorised israeli civilians. And those abhorrent attacks can neverjustify the collective punishment of the Palestinian People. Institutional humanitarian law, including the geneva conventions, must be upheld. That includes protecting civilians and not attacking hospitals, schools and un premises that are currently sheltering half a Million People. Excellencies, our near term goals must be clear. Immediate, unrestricted and sustained humanitarian aid for besieged civilians in gaza. Immediate and unconditional release of all hostages and the immediate and dedicated efforts to prevent the spread of violence, which is increasing the risk of spillover. To advance all these efforts, i appealfor a humanitarian ceasefire now. Excellencies, our sustained collective efforts and resources have never been needed more. As we focus on ending the bloodshed, we cannot lose sight of the only realistic foundation for a true peace and stability. A two state solution. Israelis must see their legitimate needs for security materialised, and palestinians must see their legitimate aspirations for an independent state realized in line with United Nations resolutions, International Law and previous agreements. The time has come for action. Action to end this god awful nightmare and action to build a future worthy of the dreams of the children of palestine, israel, the region, and our world. Shukran. As you have promised more supplies and funds. Of course, the main call is still in immediate ceasefire and some of those who spoke a few minutes ago have called for the International Community represented in this County Council to reconsider. Some of them blamed the failure by the Un Security Council to try to find a solution, an immediate solution for the current conflict and the others, of course, said or demanded that the roots of the issue should be addressed in wider consideration of the needs, demands and the conditions on both sides. But its very difficult to see that conference can come up with a solution. It wont but im sure that it will say the right things. We will be back after a short break. There is plenty more on the bbc website. Hello. Its still raining heavily and persistently across parts of the uk. So lets start with the Important Message and that red warning from the met office is still in force for parts of eastern scotland. It means danger to life. Its valid until 6 00 pm this evening, as is this much wider Amber Warning in eastern scotland. 100 millimetres of rain, further 100 millimetres of Rain Possible. In the north of scotland, this Amber Warning is valid until 10 00 pm today and you can see that rainfall here, heavy and persistent. And this has been the trouble over the last few days. Its this wind, this southeasterly Gale Force Wind thats been stuck across this part of the world. It keeps pushing in those rain clouds and dumping all of that rain in the same spot. To the south of that, its brighter, some sunny spells, but we have showers in the forecast for parts of east anglia and the south east where it will remain cloudy, damp, with heavy showers at times. So through the course of the evening and overnight, finally, that persistent rain clears to the north of scotland. The skies are clear. The winds will ease as well and the temperatures will drop. So were talking about a pretty chilly morning, quite a chilly start to sunday, three degrees in aberdeen, two in newcastle, around 5 to 9 degrees across the bulk of england and wales as well as northern ireland. So heres the weather map for sunday. That troublesome low with its persistent rain has finally shifted to the north. Itll be just to the north of scotland. Were actually in between Weather Systems on sunday. So a good deal of dry, bright weather. Im very pleased to report. In fact, the best of the weather will probably be around some of these eastern coasts. The wind will have changed direction as well, coming more out of the west, southwest. Temperatures around 12 degrees in the Lowlands Of Scotland will match that in belfast, liverpool, about 14 and around 15 or so in the southeast. And then into monday, were expecting another very rainy area of low pressure to sweep in from the south. Itll be with us into tuesday as well. And actually, there are many low pressures out in the atlantic ready to come our way. So, yes, a bit ofa break, ithink, tomorrow with some sunny spells. But overall, the Weather Pattern is looking distinctly wet and windy in the coming days. Bye bye. This is bbc news. The headlines. The first trucks since the israel hamas war began start crossing from egypt into gaza carrying desperately needed aid. The un chief again pushes for a humanitarian ceasefire at a hastily convened summit in cairo on the gaza crisis. And storm babet continues to sweep across the uk, with three risk to life Flood Warnings, and widespread Travel Disruption. Israeli air strikes in the last two weeks have left much of Northern Gaza in ruins, and Adnan El Bursh has sent us this report from one area thats been heavily bombed. This is an affluent neighbourhood in central gaza. 0vernight, its been completely destroyed. 32 tower blocks, each containing dozens of flats, are now totally gone. Translation they told us to evacuate at around 8. 30 or nine at night. We ran through the streets. Then israel started bombing the area nonstop from nine until seven this morning. You can see all of this destruction. Umm salim lived in one of these blocks of flats. She tells me all the families in her tower are now living stranded in the streets of gaza, with nowhere to go. Other residents say many people remain trapped. Translation we cannot bring people out from under the rubble. Ambulances cannot get here. We cannot pull the bodies out. People are screaming, but we cannot pull them out. Last nights attack took many residents by surprise, as people told me that it has been a relatively calm area in gaza. Translation we are civilians living peacefully in our homes. Why are you bombing us and ruining our lives . As we were filming here, a new warning came in from the israeli army, telling people to evacuate. We have now left because its dangerous. But the reality is, for many people still there, there is nowhere safe to go. Adnan el bursh, bbc news, from central gaza. The first trucks have been crossing into gaza from egypt, after the Rafah Crossing opened this morning. Its some rare good news for gaza where 4,385 people have been killed in the last two weeks, according to the Palestinian Health ministry. 1,756 of them children. This footage shows the first trucks crossing into gaza loaded with food, water and medicine, which is desperately needed by civilians there. Its not clear how long it will remain open or whether foreign Passport Holders and dual nationals will be allowed out. Israel has agreed to let 20 trucks through, but the un says at least 100 aid trucks a day are needed to meet urgent needs. Israel has sealed its borders with gaza and imposed a total siege on the strip. The Rafah Crossing between egypt and gaza is the only way to allow vital supplies in. 0ur reporter meghan 0wen has been looking at the significance of this crucial crossing. These are just some of the latest pictures of the flurry of activity at the Rafah Crossing. And we can see aid trucks rolling into gaza there. And they started to do that at around 11 a. M. On saturday morning local time. But lets just remind ourselves of why this crossing is so vital. This map here shows Erez Crossing in the north of gaza. In the south, we have kyrem shalom, which is for commercial goods. Now, these are both currently closed and they both border israel. That leaves the Rafah Crossing, which is the only crossing that doesnt border israel. In fact, it borders egypt and the only current potential option to get humanitarian aid into the gaza strip. Now, lets just take a look at that a little bit more detail on this satellite map. So we have customs in the middle. 0n the right, weve got gaza. 0n the left, we have egypt. Here, we see the border fence. And here running through the two is the access road. Now, the crossing has been closed since the conflict began a couple of weeks ago. And this is cctv footage of an explosion which happened earlier this week and this has been verified by the bbc. Now the Crossing Reopening will come as welcome news to many. Weve seen scenes of thousands of civilians at the borderjust desperately waiting to get through from gaza to egypt. And on the egyptian side, weve seen hundreds of aid lorries just waiting to get those vital supplies to people in gaza. At the moment, it could potentially be a dangerous place to cross. In fact, the us embassy in israel has warned that there could be chaos and disorder on both sides of the fence at the moment. We also dont know how long its going to be reopened for, but there is hope that foreign nationals will soon be able to cross. Aid agencies say the 20 trucks allowed to cross into gaza today are nowhere near enough to help the 2. 2 Million People in need in the besieged strip. Earlier i spoke about this to fatima sator, from the International Commitee of the red cross. We have over 100 inside gaza and we have trucks ready to enter. Also beyond the aid, the humanitarian aid, which of course is extremely important and essential, we also have medical personnel, experienced personnel who is ready to step in and help alleviate suffering. There are surgeons who will be able to help civilians inside gaza, knowing that hospitals have been stretched to their limit, there is no clean water to operate and they dont have enough medicine. Do you have icrc trucks as part of those 20 that have gone in today . For now, we are coordinating with our partners from the egyptian red cross and palestinian red crescent, and we have around 60 tonnes of humanitarian aid which include mostly medical supplies, so those are bandages, clothes, but also sterile water to be able to to help hospitals inside gaza. What else are you desperate to get across at the moment . So our call right now is that this aid, of course, as we heard, 20 trucks is not enough, its a drop in the ocean. Right now, the needs are so big that we do need more trucks to get in but also a regular flow. So this has to be continuous access, and we are asking a pause in fighting so humanitarian actors are able to support people of gaza. You have teams on the ground in gaza. What are they saying to you about the needs at the moment . What my colleagues tell me is that the needs are huge, the humanitarian situation is disastrous. People have been walking tens of kilometres, sleeping on the floor, getting to hospitals that are still functioning that dont have medicine, water is not clean to operate. So the humanitarian situation right now is really disastrous. Theres been rising violence in the occupied west bank since israel began bombarding the gaza strip. More than 80 palestinians have been killed in the west bank since the deadly hamas raids on Southern Israel two weeks ago. The situation poses a challenge to both israel and the internationally recognised Palestinian Authority, which governs parts of the west bank. From ramallah, heres our middle east correspondent yolande knell. Medics rushing in after israeli really snipers shoot at palestinian teenagers hurling stones, unleashing their anger. Already this had been the deadliest year in years for palestinians in the west bank, and since the war in gaza started, violence has really surged. At rallies, palestinians here shout in support of gaza, but also worry for their nationalist cause, because of israels order for people to leave the northern half of the strip. He decided to displace the palestinians. Palestinians have no choice except to defend their existence. What matters is that our people stay on their land, this woman says. We fear evacuation. As israel promises to eradicate hamas in gaza, these green flags are a reminder that it remains a force in the west bank. And while the groups political rival, president Mahmoud Abbas, has met us officials during this crisis, protests against him have shown the dangers for his Palestinian Authority if it looks like it intends to take over gaza after the war. 0fficials denied that is the plan. Israel wants to discuss the future, america wants to discuss the future. But the Palestinian Authority will not come to control gaza and the people of gaza on the back of an israeli tank. The past two weeks have seen scores of funerals in the west bank and hundreds of arrests by Israeli Security forces. Israeli settler violence has also reached a new high. Here, a settler shoots a palestinian, seriously injuring him. Israeli police say are investigating. And east of ramallah, some 200 bedouin villages were driven from their homes of over 20 years. Now broke, abu bashar picks olives for money. He sees an israeli plot to take over more Land Palestinians want for a state of their own. Translation when the war broke out, they took advantage of it. The problem is the settlers came this time with guns and escorted by army vehicles. They committed this crime to force us out. While world attention is inevitably focusing on what is happening in gaza, tensions are also spiralling in the west bank, and the threat of a wider conflict is growing. Hamas has released two american Hostages Mother and daughterjudith and Natalie Raanan. They were among the 210 hostages israel now says the group took to gaza during the attacks on the 7th october, which killed more than 1,400 people. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says efforts continue to free more hostages. Wyre davies reports. Music plays. Two weeks ago, almog was footloose and fancy free, a peace loving, liberally minded 20 something, having the time of her life at a Music Festival in the israeli desert, an innocence shell never recover. Ifelt like it was pure luck that i survived. As squads of hamas gunmen stormed the festival, shooting indiscriminately. Almog fled for her life. The only cover she could find some desert scrub, under which she would hide motionless for 8 hours. I didnt thought they were going to take hostages when i was there. Every time i hear or see their interaction, they shoot and they shoot for killing, not for kidnapping. October 7th will go down as the most fateful day in modern israeli history, as palestinian gunmen mercilessly murdered at least 1400 people of all ages in towns and communities across the south. Hamas militans ran riot in the border town of sderot. People were killed in their cars and waiting for buses. Today, its almost a ghost town. As the israeli army gathers nearby in huge numbers, ready for an invasion of gaza and have vowed to wipe out hamas. Itll be some time, if ever at all, that these Border Communities and those in gaza return to anything like normality. And what people here in Southern Israel wont forget and they wont let the world forget are the atrocities that happened here just two weeks ago. For now, israel continues to hit targets inside gaza from the air with an unprecedented number of strikes against hamas related infrastructure. Palestinian sources say 4000 people have been killed, many of them children. Last night, a small victory for International Diplomacy as a us israeli mother and daughter were freed from gaza. Judith and Natalie Raanan now heading home after being abducted by hamas. The urgent work to free every single american to free all other hostages continues, as does our work, to secure the Safe Passage Out Of Gaza for The Americans who are trapped there. But 200 hostages remain held by hamas and an israeli invasion of gaza is still expected. Two weeks in faith is the only hope that some people have of avoiding more bloodshed. Wyre davies, bbc news. Three risk to life Flood Warnings have been issued around the River Derwent in derbyshire. These are the latest pictures coming to us from our reporter out in derby. A red danger to life Weather Warning is also in place in North East Scotland but thats due to be lifted at 6 oclock this evening. Storm babet has already claimed at least three lives, and more torrential rain and high winds are forecast across much of the uk. Hundreds of flood alerts are in place, and travel is being badly disrupted, with several Train Operators advising people not to travel today. Ben phillip reports. From above the extent of flooding to this region is made clear. The town of brechin in angus has been at the epicentre of the storm. These were the scenes yesterday morning as dozens of people had to be rescued from their homes. You dont need to look far to see the aftermath of the flooding here in brechin. Debris has washed up onto the road, the clean up operation is now under way. The Flood Defences appear to have held last night but with more rain on the way locals are concerned. Youve got to think of other folk as well out in the country. Scary. It is scary in the dark, thats the worst thing. But we left at about 11 oclock. I was able to go to my daughters. We had to go the campus next morning, with the Mother In Law who was suffering. She woke up in her bed in the morning and she was lying in water, more or less. Rain overnight and into this morning was relentless. There has been widespread Travel Disruption as well. The a90 between dundee and stonehaven remains closed and Rail Services in the east of the country are severely impacted. The water levels there are still high and we are still in the middle of the heavy rain, and its going to take some time for these water levels to drop. And its only when these water levels drop that we are going to be able to go in and look at the structures and if there is any damage from the hammering that the structures have taken over the last few days. Dozens of flood alerts and warnings remain in place. As locals are left counting the cost of the damage, a red warning is still in force, with more rain and wind expected in the coming hours. Ben phillip, bbc news, brechin. Live now to our correspondent andy gill, whos in the village of catcliffe in south yorkshire. Yes, this is the main street in f. But to give you a wider picture, as you mentioned, in terms of scotland, they are taking the brunt of storm babet and the Red Weather Warning will end at six oclock this evening rather than midnight, and they expect to receive 100 millimetres of rain today and there is a severe risk to life there. In northern england, there are also severe risk to life warnings and there is actually a new warning in wales so the weather is spreading across the country. A danger to life warning in a village in powys. Natural resources wales have issue that Flood Warning which covers the river severn. There are more than 360 Flood Warnings across the uk, all the way down to the south east, and Train Services have been affected. Some Train Operators are warning people not to travel at all today, so lner have said theyll be an extremely limited service and of coast and Northern Rail have warned against travelling as lions will be widely flooded, they say. And if we go back to the north of england there is an update. Leeds bradford airport is due to reopen any moment now and that opening has been delayed this morning from around ten oclock and then they pushed it back to 11, so passengers were told not to 11, so passengers were told not to go to the terminal until two oclock this afternoon, so we hope that will go ahead there. Trains are widely affected and if i give you some of the other ideas in terms of cancellations, Northern Rail has said all eyes between cheadle hume and winslow are blocked due to damage to the overhead electric wires, so problems there and also there is disruption between leeds and doncaster and harrogate and bradford, so you really do need to check before you travel, but some Train Operators say not to travel at all, and in terms of the roads, they are saying many roads to be affected in wales, and a very important warning from the Authorities Saying that if you see floodwater, it only takes up to 30 centimetres to dislodge a car and move it, so you do not want to be driving through anything above 30 centimetres. As said, there is widespread disruption in terms of travel and widespread torrential rain and high winds and severe flooding, notjust in scotland on the north but across the country. The first aid trucks have crossed into gaza from egypt after the Rafah Crossing partially opened this morning and we can show you pictures of the scene in gaza right now. And as we were saying there, but Rafah Crossing has reopened, about 200 trucks are thought to have passed through there today but aid agencies say they need many more, 20 trucks, pardon me but aid agencies said they would need 100 a day to meet the urgent humanitarian need, so around 20 trucks passing through the Rafa Crossing and many say it is a glimmer of hope as diplomatic talks continue in cairo. As we were saying before, plenty more on all of the developed and the middle east on our live page on the bbc news website and we have analysis from all of our correspondence on the ground there as well. Ill be back after a short break so stay with us here on bbc news. Hello. Its still raining heavily and persistently across parts of the uk. So lets start with the Important Message and that red warning from the met office is still in force for parts of eastern scotland. It means danger to life. Its valid until 6 00 pm this evening, as is this much wider Amber Warning in eastern scotland. 100 millimetres of rain, a further 100 millimetres of Rain Possible in the north of scotland, this Amber Warning is valid until 10 00 pm today and you can see that rainfall here, heavy and persistent. So were talking about a pretty chilly morning, quite a chilly start to sunday, three degrees in aberdeen, two in newcastle, around 5 to 9 degrees across the bulk of england and wales, as well as northern ireland. So, yes, a bit ofa break, ithink tomorrow with some sunny spells. But overall, overall, the Weather Pattern is looking distinctly wet and windy in the coming days. Bye bye. Live from london, this is bbc news. The first trucks since the israel hamas war began start crossing from egypt into gaza, carrying desperately needed aid.
