And this is something that you have obviously been working on. You were actually happened to be in mogadishu at the last attacks. Yes, i was there when the last attack happened. And now, today, this is whats happening. We are here in minneapolis, and of course, the worlds somalis are raising funds for the victims. But, ijust want to make it you know, since im on the air, this hat that you see that im wearing is the Somali National army. This is what will get us out of this. This is what will defeat al shabaab. We cant have any other troops. We need to empower and give the resources they need for our young boys, so they can fight and defeat al shabaab. So are you saying the response from the west, and people trying to help the somali government, has been wrong so far, resources going to the wrong place . Well, to be honest with you, you know, the budget that they allocated for the troops if i had a chance to talk to the somali troops, the boys on the ground, and they havent got paid for the last three months. How do you expect them to defeat al shabaab . 0n the other hand, you have troops who are getting 1201, and theyre not doing the job. They havent done anything in somalia, and they will never defeat al sha baab. Is it your sense, having been there, and knowing what you know, that al shabaab are feeling emboldened now . Of course, because whos out there to fight with them . You know, we need more training, we need intelligence, we need human intelligence. We need to give all the resources that the Somali National army needs. The one thing that i dont understand is that the eu and the us, they are supporting them. They are not protecting our people. This is day in and day out. We are sick and tired of this. Right here in the us. Thats why they need to help us to defeat al shabaab. If you dont do that, this will continue. Every day we keep losing family members, innocent lives, every day. This has to end. Briefly, and just very quickly there, you dont seem optimistic. Over the last couple of years, lots of people been saying al shabaab are on the retreat. You dont see that now . No, al shabaab is not on retreat. Al sha baab pretty much controls most of mogadishu, outside of mogadishu. They are inside. That is why we need somalis, who understand the language, who understand the culture, who understand the religion, to fight. It will bring much more sunshine and a brighter day on sunday, but for many of us, it will be noticeably colder, as well. That is keeping temperatures up across more southern parts of england and wales. But in the clear skies, as you head further north, sunday will start much colder.
