B.U. Forced to Modify Vaccination Plans Due to J&J Pause

 New York state health officials will follow federal recommendations and pause the use of the J&J vaccine after six women between the ages of 18 and 48 were found to have cerebral blood clots after getting the shot and one of the women died.

State Health Commissioner Dr. Howard Zucker says all appointments for Johnson & Johnson vaccines on Tuesday, April 13 at state-run mass vaccination sites would be honored with the Pfizer vaccine.
Broome County Public Health Director Rebecca Kaufman said all Johnson and Johnson clinics set up by the county had been canceled but residents should still take advantage of clinics giving the Pfizer first dose instead.
