Avon man airlifted Tuesday after sustaining burns in restaurant kitchen

A 21-year-old Avon man was airlifted by helicopter on Tuesday evening after he was burned by cooking oil at an Avon Township restaurant, according to a press release from the Stearns County Sheriff's Office.
Peter Hagemann had been working on a piece of kitchen equipment at The Landing, a bar and restaurant north of Avon. He "sustained significant oil burns to his arms and back," according to the sheriff's office.
The incident was reported around 7:45 p.m. Tuesday. Responders then called for a medical helicopter due to the extent of injuries.
