Introduction The elected official that I choose to interview is the Mayor of Avon Lake, Greg Zilka. I choose Mayor Zilka because although I donât live in the city of Avon Lake, I work in the city at a pizza shop, and I appreciate how beautiful of a city Avon Lake is. I emailed the mayorâs office and within a day I got a response back, and after about ten emails between the mayorâs assistant and myself, the interview was planned. I appreciated how Mr. Zilka through his assistant worked with me and my schedule to try to find a time best for me to conduct the interview, and how he was willing to meet in person, call, or email me, to which we agreed to a phone call.
