Aviva launches a new smooth managed fund

Aviva has launched a new smooth managed fund (SMF2).
The new fund is available through the Aviva platform on pension and bonds.
SMF2 will provide an option for cautious investors by offering a distribution technology risk rating of 4.
In comparison, the existing Aviva smooth managed fund (SMF) provides a distribution technology risk rating of 5.
The first SMF remains available for investors with a greater risk appetite.
SMF was launched in response to demands for investments that deliver better than cash returns but with a smoother investment experience.
Aviva conducted a research last year with advisers and customers. It revealed a growing demand for additional funds which offer lower risk in uncertain and volatile markets.
