Authorities ID 2 young men killed in separate Bessemer shootings

Bessemer police are investigating the death of a 20-year-old man Tuesday, March 16, 2021 in the 1800 block of Long 14th Street.

Two young men killed Tuesday in separate Bessemer shootings have been identified.
The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office on Wednesday identified the victims as Chase Debore Green and Saveon Th’Marcus Washington. Both were 20.
Washington, of Bessemer, was found unresponsive about 5:40 p.m. Tuesday in the 1800 block of Long 14th Street. Lt. Christian Clemons said he was lying in the roadway when officers got on the scene. He was pronounced dead at 5:51 p.m.
