Australian military troops pulled out of Afghanistan by September, PM announces

"Over the past two years we've been reducing our military presence in Afghanistan from a high of over 1500 personnel to around 80 personnel currently.
"In line with the United States and other allies and partners, the last remaining Australian troops will depart Afghanistan in September 2021."
Mr Morrison made the announcement at a press conference in Perth.
He read through a list of the 41 Australian personnel who have died while serving in Afghanistan, his voice wavering at times.
