An attorney representing the teacher aide accused of making threats and causing the lockdown of Clark Middle School said the detective in the case rushed to judgment when arresting his client.
“The allegations of terroristic threat made against Ms. Granger are completely false and without merit,” said attorney Rene Cantu.
On Tuesday, Irma Yvette Granger, 29, was served with arrest warrants that charged her with five counts of terroristic threat impair public service, a third-degree felony punishable with up to 10 years in prison and a possible $10,000 fine. She is out on bond, according to Webb County Jail records.
