At least one person killed in crash south of Ephrata, roads blocked

GRANT CO., Wash. — A woman was killed during a police pursuit south of Ephrata Tuesday morning.
Around 2:30 a.m., an Ephrata police officer responded to a report of a suspicious person in the Swanson Addition neighborhood in Ephrata.
When the officer arrived, the suspect got into a car and drove off quickly, according to the Kyle Foreman with the Grant County Sheriff’s Office.
The suspect drove south on Dodson Road while police tried to catch up. At one point, the driver lost control and the car rolled into a yard.
Foreman said a woman died at the scene. Two men nearby were questioned by police.
