Asish Saha appointed as Tripura Pradesh Congress Committee president

Former MLA Asish Kumar Saha has been appointed as the new president of Tripura Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC), replacing Birajit Sinha. Saha thanked party leaders including Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, and Ajay Kumar, and said he would work to rejuvenate the organization at the grassroots level. The Congress could not win a single seat in the 60-member Tripura Assembly in 2018, but won two seats in 2023.
