After participating in Dakar Rally, 2019 Baja World Championship and 2020 Africa Eco Race, Indian rider Ashish Raorane has added another feather to his cap. He has set the record for the world's highest hill climb, claiming the Kunzum Kaiser title. The rider travelled from Batal to Kunzum La in Himachal Pradesh in 13 minutes and 4 seconds, setting the fastest times record for the stretch. For the uninitiated, the road from Batal (4,000 m altitude) to Kunzum La (4,551 m altitude) is a 12.5 km long unpaved stretch laden with loose rocks and 20 hairpin bends. And let's not forget that the average temperature was -5 degree Celcius. Raorane, for this challenge, went head-to-head with Suresh Rana who has won Raid de Himalaya 11 times.
