The visual and performing arts communities were among the sectors badly affected when the COVID-19 pandemic disrupted what would have been a lovely year for culture. Fortunately, the Art Fair Philippines was able to showcase a wide array of contemporary paintings, sculptures, and performances in 2020.
With the virtual success of Art In The Park last August 2020 and February this year, the powerhouse team of Lisa Periquet, Trickie Lopa, and Dindin Araneta is confident that the much-awaited return of Art Fair Philippines will be well-received despite taking the virtual route this edition.
Shining spotlight on digital art this year, Art Fair Philippines 2021 is showcasing education on Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs) in one of its sections on the website. With Bank of the Philippine Islands, the ArtFairPH/Projects section is co-curated by Tropical Futures Institute and Narra Art Gallery, that will take viewers an understanding of the cryptocurrency, to buying an NFT, and meeting artists and gallerists that are embedded within the crypto art community
