Armed police were called to Mangotsfield after reports of a group with a large knife.
Officers were called to St James Place — a short shopping street home to a Tesco Express and a few other businesses — at about 4.20pm on Wednesday (April 28).
An Avon and Somerset police spokeswoman said the reports came from witnesses who saw three teenage boys armed with a large knife.
