Twenty-five students of Youth Reaching Youth (YRY) have been presented with tablets, thanks to the kind donation of a friend of the organisation who wishes to remain anonymous.
The tablets were presented by the chairman of the organisation Dave Garcia and will be used to assist with the completion of school assignments.
“We are so thankful”, said Angela Plunkett, Executive Director of Youth Reaching Youth. “This pandemic has wreaked havoc on families and institutions. Many of our youth have been going through serious challenges with limited access to technology and poor internet connectivity. This gift allows them to log on and access Google Suite to do their IA and SBAs. We continue to look towards corporate Jamaica to donate to entities like ours, who are making a difference especially at the grass roots level”, Plunkett continued.
