ATLANTA â The National Park Service announced the selection of Sean Anderson, from Sevierville, as the new regional chief of information technology based in Atlanta.
âWe are happy to welcome Sean back to our region,â Regional Director Stan Austin said. âSeanâs focus on IT security, modernization and standardization of systems will be critical to enhancing the user experience for the regionâs 3,000 employees and nearly 20 million virtual visitors annually.â
Anderson began his NPS career in 2008 as a computer technician intern at the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, the countryâs most visited National Park. After graduating college two years later, he joined the NPS permanently as an IT Specialist at Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area where he maintained all park IT operations and dabbled in IT administrative work.
