When members of Anderson County Council expressed a desire to have a better, more efficient way of communicating with their constituents, a new member of the staff stepped up to the plate to create the perfect platform: a smartphone app.
ACSC Gov, available for Apple and Google phones, was created by Matt Shoup, a former intern who joined the county staff full-time in October. Shoup said it was clear council “wanted to get information out to the public in a prompt and important manner.”
"Information can only move as fast as technology," he said. "And, for quite some time, we may have been behind the ball on that in some regards."
