Amid Covid-19 cases witnessing a surge in Mohali, Chandigarh and other parts of the country, the Panchkula Health Department has stepped up preventive measures to ensure the situation remains under control in the district.
Help from RWAs for surveillance
The Health Department has requested RWAs to intimate the authorities if any symptomatic person arrives in their locality from Maharashtra and other affected areas so that they can be tested.
Present situation
With a maximum of 21 cases, the district reported 90 cases (about 13 per day) in the past one week. Only one person died between February 20 and 26. While the tally stands at 10,806, the toll remains 149.
