Amber Alert issued for 5-year-old Missouri boy

The Missouri State Highway Patrol has issued an Amber Alert for a 5-year-old boy.
Authorities said Craig Emmerson was taken Thursday afternoon from his family's home in Ava by his father.Sign up for our Newsletters
The highway patrol said the boy's mother was assaulted, telling her she would never see the boy again.
Authorities believe the father, identified as Craig Emmerson, 53, may be headed to Springfield or the Howell County area.
They were last seen in a 2020 black Jeep Gladiator with Missouri license plate SKU-1LY.
Anyone who has seen them is asked to call 911.
