While it didn’t reach its goal this year, the Alzheimer Society of Chatham-Kent’s virtual walk surpassed last year’s fundraiser with over $42,000 collected from donors.
This is a 22 per cent increase over last year’s IG Wealth Management Walk for Alzheimer’s, a news release from the society said. The goal was to raise $50,000.

“ASCK attributes this fundraising increase to many factors, one of them being the introduction of the Forget-Me-Not Scavenger Hunt.,” the release said. “This new event was in support of the virtual walk, allowing ASCK to offer something that embodied the spirit of in-person walks which have been deeply missed during the pandemic.”
