The ANC’s alliance partners in the Eastern Cape have said they will support the party in the 2024 general elections but have raised a list of concerns they say it needs to pay attention to. Provincial leaders of the alliance said at the weekend that the ANC could no longer ignore the fact that the majority of the people were still living below the poverty line — 29 years after SA’s first democratic elections.
