Table talk: By game’s end, Amin and Schlereth had fun wondering if there were enough tables for Bills fans to jump on to break in celebration of the title. “Go ahead Buffalo, smash those tables,” said Schlereth after Singletary’s touchdown gave the Bills a 48-19 lead in the final two minutes. Many Bills fans don’t embrace that stereotype, which is getting as annoying as snow jokes.
Courageous is the wrong word: Schlereth noted that Broncos coach Vic Fangio said the one word that describes Allen is “courageous.” Schlereth used it again later. I don’t think any football player should be described that way for his play. Jim Kelly is courageous for his battle against cancer, not his Hall of Fame quarterback career.
