Bradley Constant’s time is now. And just like the superstar he plays on TV, he worked for every bit of it.
The Tuscaloosa native landed a huge role on NBC’s new sitcom “Young Rock,” playing none other than Dwayne Johnson, or at least the 15-year-old version during the actor’s teenage years in the 1980s. The show premieres tonight at 7 p.m. central on NBC.
The world’s biggest movie star and pro wrestling legend’s life will be depicted on the series, based on outrageous stories of his youth. “This coming-of-age journey highlights the unforgettable moments and incredible relationships that took Dwayne from ordinary kid to extraordinary superstar – revealing he’s more like us than we know,” the NBC description says. Johnson co-created the series with Nahnatchka Khan.
