Nurses at AIIMS began an indefinite strike Monday afternoon demanding clarity on salary structure. In a letter to AIIMS director Dr Randeep Guleria, the union raised concerns over the 6th CPC anomaly. “The callous attitude of AIIMS administration towards nurses has forced us to go on an indefinite strike from Monday afternoon onwards,” said the letter. In an internal administration AIIMS meeting, it has been decided that as many as 170 nurses will be outsourced to continue patient care services as long as the strike of AIIMS nurses continues.
