Ahmedabad Civil Hospital says documents can spread Covid after RTI filed over food distribution

The documents pertaining to distribution of food, tetra packs and other food items among patients, staff and their relatives are kept at the Covid hospital.

Ahmedabad: It was a common belief when Covid struck that the virus could spread through papers. Awareness campaigns were held to assure people that Covid does not spread through paper.
The documents pertaining to distribution of food, tetra packs and other food items among patients, staff and their relatives are kept at the Covid hospital. Surprisingly, a RTI response from Public Information Officer N.C. Patel and Administrative Officer told the Ahmedabad Mirror, “Handing them over could lead to spread of coronavirus infection. As a result, we cannot provide you the information.”
