The African American Museum of Philadelphia is moving into the former Family Court building at 1801 Vine St. as part of a larger redevelopment project along the Benjamin Franklin Parkway. An adjacent lot operated by the PPA will be converted into a Children and Family Center at the Free Library of Philadelphia. Four development teams have been tapped as finalists for the project, which is expected to take five years to complete.
