India's solar mission, Aditya L1, has begun studying energetic particles in the solar wind from space. STEPS has been functioning from within the Earth's magnetic field since September 10, and will continue to collect data on energetic particles during its four-month journey to the L1 point. The data collected will help understand space weather changes and improve the performance of space assets.
