Benchmark NSE Nifty index was trading 176.30 points up at 14705.45 on Monday on account of buying in frontline bluechip counters.
Among the stocks that touched their 52-week highs on NSE were: APL Apollo Tubes, Astral Poly Technik, Blue Star, Eveready Industries, Greenply Industries, Hindustan Copper, JK Paper, NBCC (India), Radico Khaitan, Supreme Industries, Vedanta and Religare Enterprises.
Overall, 44 shares were trading in green in Nifty50 index, while 6 were trading in red in the afternoon trade.
