EAST COUNTY —
A 34-year-old man was behind bars on suspicion of stabbing two people in a Spring Valley parking lot Sunday night, authorities said.
The stabbing was reported at about 10:30 p.m. on Via Orange Way, off Austin Drive north of Jamacha Boulevard, sheriff’s Lt. Pat McEvoy said.
Deputies responded to the scene and found a 19-year-old man and a 60-year-old had been stabbed, McEvoy said. Both victims were taken to a hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
Deputies located the suspect nearby and took him into custody, the lieutenant said. The man was booked into San Diego Central Jail on suspicion of attempted murder.
