31 police officers fined for haircut inside police station 
As many as 31 metropolitan police officers in London were slapped with a fine of £200 (Rs 20,000) after they hired a professional barber to cut their hair inside a police station.
The officers hired a barber to come to the Bethnal Green police station in East London amid the coronavirus-induced lockdown on 17 January.
Fines of £200 were slapped on the officers for breaching coronavirus regulations. The police department, in a statement, said that it had launched an investigation into the matter after receiving a tip-off.
