BESSEMER — The Jefferson County Coroner/Medical Examiner’s Office identified a woman killed in a shooting in Bessemer.
Joanne Lashay Jackson, 21, was shot on Wednesday, April 14, 2021.
Jackson was transported to UAB Hospital, from the scene in the 2800 block of Carolina Terrace. She was later pronounced dead.
The shooting happened around 9:14 p.m. Bessemer Police are investigating. Detectives believe the shooting occurred during a domestic assault.
