One kilogram of cannabis has been recovered from a van at a Caithness ferry terminal.
Police said that local officers, supported by colleagues from Border Policing Command, carried out searches at Gills Bay.
After making inquiries, they searched a vehicle. Police said that one kilogram of cannabis â with a value of between £10,000 and £15,000 â was recovered from inside.
A 54-year-old man was arrested at the scene and has been charged under the Misuse of Drugs Act.
He made a first appearance at Wick Sheriff Court on Wednesday, December 16.
The search came as part of the ongoing Operation Ruling activity taking place across Caithness.
